Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

Tittle: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Author: J.K. Rowling
Series: Harry Potter, #1
Rating: 4.5 stars

[from goodreads] Harry Potter has never been the star of Quidditch
team, scoring points while riding a broom farm above the ground. he knows no spells, has never helped hatched a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley - a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry's room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn't had a birthday party in 11 years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry - and anyone who reads about him - will find unforgettable. For it's there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that's been waiting for him... if Harry can survive the encounter.

I admit, this review is hard to write because I read this a long time ago (but didn't really remember a lot) and of how popular they are. So many people have read them and already have opinions! So this review is for those who haven't read the Harry Potter series! Don't think it's too late to read them... because it's not!

I highly suggest these books. It's like non-stop action... never a boring part. I'll keep this review sweet and short because pretty much everything has been said... from good to bad. I can tell the rest of the series is going to get better and I can't wait to read the rest of them this summer!
